Erianthus coarctatus Fernald. Common name: Brown Plume Grass. Phenology: Sep-Nov. Habitat: Marshes, ditches, clay-based Carolina bays, swamps, peaty powerline rights-of-way. Distribution: DE and MD south to FL, west to TX (Brown & Marcus 1998).
