Schizachyrium niveum (Swallen) Gould. Common name: Pinescrub Bluestem. Phenology: Oct-Nov. Habitat: Florida scrub, longleaf pine sandhills. Distribution: Endemic to c. peninsular FL; reported for Lowndes Co. in sc. GA (Kral 1973), but the report has been discounted by later authors (Wipff in FNA 2003a).
