*Sporobolus jacquemontii Kunth. West Indian Dropseed. Phen: Jun-Nov. Hab: Pine flatwoods, beaches, roadsides on barrier islands. Dist: SC south to FL Panhandle (Wakulla County), FL peninsula; West Indies.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Other Comments: The original distribution is the New World tropics and subtropics, but its exact extent is unclear, and the species may be entirely or partly alien in our area.
