Sporobolus airoides (Torrey) Torrey. Alkali Sacaton, Coastal Sacaton. Phen: Jun-Nov. Hab: Sandy or gravelly areas, saline or alkaline flats; eastwards as a waif in waste areas near wool-combing and other mills. Dist: ND, MT, and BC south to TX, NM, AZ, CA, and Mexico.
