Clematis addisonii Britton. Subgenus: Viorna. Common name: Addison's Leatherflower. Phenology: Apr-Jun; May-Jul. Habitat: Dry to mesic calcareous barrens, woodlands, and forests, over dolostone (Elbrook Formation). Distribution: Endemic to w. VA (Botetourt, Montgomery, Roanoke, and Rockbridge counties).
