not marked as a favorite taxon Clematis socialis Kral. Common name: Alabama Leatherflower. Habitat: Wet calcareous flatwoods. Distribution: Nw. GA (Floyd Co.) and ne. AL (St. Clair and Cherokee counties). Recently discovered in Piedmont of GA (the population needing additional study).
