Vitis riparia Michaux. Riverbank Grape. Phen: Apr-Jun; Aug-Sep. Hab: Forests and woodlands, mostly moist to wet. Dist: NB west to se. SK, south to VA, NC, c. and w. TN, n. MS, LA, and e. TX, and in the Pacific Northwest.

ID notes: Can be mistaken for Ampelopsis glandulosa; Vitis riparia has brown pith (vs. white), rectangular basal sinus, and larger leaf teeth.
