Crotalaria incana Linnaeus var. incana. Common name: Shake-shake, Velvety Rattlebox. Phenology: Feb-Oct (-Jan). Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of the tropics, variously interpreted as pantropical or only Paleotropical. Also in peninsular FL, from Alachua County southward.
Origin/Endemic status: Pantropics
Taxonomy Comments: A second variety is present in Africa, and not known to be introduced in our area.
