not marked as a favorite taxon *Desmodium tortuosum (Swartz) A.P. de Candolle. Phenology: Jul-Aug; Aug-Oct. Habitat: Fields, woodland borders, disturbed areas. Distribution: E. NC south to s. FL, west to AR and TX; Mexico, Central America, n. South America, West Indies; apparently only introduced in the southeastern United States (Harper 1944b).
