*Maackia buergeri (Maximowicz) Tatewaki. Common name: Japanese Maackia,. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Sparingly naturalizing in suburban woodlands. Distribution: Native of Japan. Reported as sparingly naturalizing on Duke University campus, Durham County, NC (W. Cook, pers.comm., 2007).
