Robinia nana Elliott. Common name: Sandhill Locust, Dwarf Locust. Phenology: Apr-Jun; Jul-Oct. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, dry rocky forests (especially associated with chestnut oak). Distribution: Se. and nc. North Carolina south through South Carolina to Georgia and Alabama; some of this distribution is uncertain.
