Potentilla rivalis Nuttall. Section: Rivales. Common name: Brook Five-fingers. Phenology: May-Jul. Habitat: Along streams and in moist, marshy areas; eastwards adventive in moist, disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of n., c., and w. North America, south to c. Mexico.
