Dist: NL (Newfoundland) west to MI and MN, south to NJ and OH, and disjunct to WV, sw. VA, and w. NC.

Taxonomy Comments: The name for this species in Rubus, Rubus repens (Linnaeus) Kuntze, needs to be conserved against an earlier homonym to be used by those who prefer to place this taxon in Rubus, and has been proposed for conservation (Turner 2023).
