Croton lindheimeri (Engelmann & A. Gray) Alph. Wood. Common name: Goatweed, Lindheimer’s Croton. Phenology: May-Dec. Habitat: Calcareous glades, edges of crop fields, other disturbed areas. Distribution: SC, IN, MO, e. KS, and south to c. peninsular FL, s. TX and Mexico (the adventive vs. native range somewhat unclear).
