*Acalypha wilkesiana Müller of Aargau. Common name: Painted Copperleaf, Beefsteak-plant, Match-me-if-you-can, Wilkes’s Copperleaf. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Disturbed uplands. Distribution: Cultivar presumably originating in the Pacific Islands (Bismarck Archipelago).

Origin/Endemic status: Paleotropics

Synonymy : = FNA12, K4; = Acalypha amentacea Roxb. ssp. wilkesiana (Müller of Aargau) Fosberg — Fl2, WH3, WI. Basionym: Acalypha wilkesiana Müller of Aargau 1866
