Taxonomy Comments: Taylor et al. (2023) and Taylor & Zappi (2019) discussed the likely future division of C. hexagonus into 2 or possibly more species.

Synonymy: = K4; = n/a – FNA4; >< Cereus repandus – K3, WH3, misapplied
