*Epiphyllum hookeri Haworth ssp. hookeri . Common name: Orchid Cactus. Habitat: Hammocks and disturbed suburban areas, from horticultural use. Distribution: Native of Mexico, Central America, and n. South America.

ID notes: The stems of this taxon are flattened with a cord-like thickening.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics
