*Persicaria nepalensis (Meisner) H. Gross. Section: Cephalopilon. Nepalese Smartweed. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: River banks, shores, other moist disturbed areas. Sometimes grown as a groundcover. Dist: Native of e. Asia.

ID notes: Some of the horticultural selections have purple and/or whitish deltoid blazes on the leaves.

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia
