Hypericum mutilum Linnaeus var. latisepalum Fernald. Common name: Southern Dwarf St. John’s-wort. Phenology: Jun-Oct. Habitat: Marshes and other wet habitats. Distribution: Se. SC south to s. FL, west to TX. Fernald (1950) considers this taxon to be north to NJ.

Taxonomy Comments: Hybrids with H. canadense have been called H. ×dissimulatum E.P. Bicknell (pro sp.).
