Hibiscus lasiocarpos Cavanilles var. lasiocarpos . Common name: Western Rose-mallow. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Marshes, swamps. Distribution: KY, IN, IL, MO, KS, and NM south to Panhandle FL (?), AL, MS, LA, TX, and CHI (Villaseñor 2016).

Origin/Endemic status: Native
