Lechea maritima Leggett ex Britton, Sterns, & Poggenburg var. virginica Hodgdon. Common name: Virginia Pinweed. Phenology: Jun-Aug; Aug-Sep (-Oct). Habitat: Sandy dunes, flats, and blowouts, often associated with Hudsonia tomentosa. Distribution: Var. virginica is endemic from se. DE, e. MD, e. VA, and ne. NC.
