Stems: Stems leafless, slender, arising from center of a rosette of leaves, which often emerge in winter.

Leaves: Leaves basal, oblong-lance-shaped to spoon-shaped, to 1 in. long, often toothed toward the tip, furry.

Flowers: Flowers 4-30 on ascending stalks in a loose terminal raceme, white, less than 1/4 in. wide, consisting of 4 spreading, deeply cleft petals.

Fruits: Fruit a tiny oblong to elliptic pod.
