Isoetes engelmannii A. Braun. Phen: May-Oct. Hab: Usually in permanent water bodies with active current.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Other Comments: A diploid species (2n=22). Apparently there are two cryptic taxa currently combined under the name I. engelmannii (Hoot, Napier, & Taylor 2004), genotype NN and genotype SS.
