Parogonum ciliinode (Michaux) Desjardins & J.P. Bailey. Common name: Fringed Climbing Buckwheat, Fringed Black Bindweed. Phenology: Jun-Sep. Habitat: Around rock outcrops, in openings, glades, and open woodlands at high elevations. Distribution: NL (Newfoundland) west to SK, south to PA, w. NC, n. GA, e. TN, IN, IL, and MN.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: The epithet "cilinode" (as spelled by Michaux) is a correctable orthographic error for "ciliinode", thus combinations in the various genera in which this taxon has been placed should be based on the corrected spelling.
