Sagittaria spongiosa (Engelmann) Werier. clade: Calycina Group. Tidal Arrowhead. Phen: May-Sep. Hab: Tidal marshes and mud flats. Dist: NB south to e. NC along the coast.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Werier & Kartesz (2013) clarified that the name S. spongiosa has priority over S. spatulata when the two are combined (as here) as a single taxon at species rank.
