*Tetragonia tetragonoides (Pallas) Kuntze. Subgenus: Tetragonioides. Common name: New Zealand Spinach. Phenology: Jul-Nov. Habitat: Persistent after cultivation. Distribution: Native of e. Asia.

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia

Taxonomy Comments: T. tetragonoides is a member of subgenus Tetragonioides (Taylor 1994). The correct spelling of the epithet is 'tetragonoides'.

Synonymy : = K4, POWO; Demidovia tetragonoides Pall. = n/a — Pa; = Tetragonia expansa Murray — RAB, S, S13, WV; = Tetragonia tetragonioides — C, F, Fl5, FNA4, G, NS, NY, WH3, Boetsch (2002), Taylor (1994), orthographic variant. Basionym: Demidovia tetragonoides Pall. 1781
