Halesia diptera J. Ellis var. magniflora Godfrey. Big-flower Two-Wing Silverbell. Phen: Mar-May. Hab: Dry to moist hammocks. Dist: Endemic to sw. GA and Panhandle FL.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Fritsch in FNA (2009) considers the variation clinal, the larger-flowered plants in the eastern part of the range of morphological variation in H. diptera s.l., and not worthy of taxonomic status. Included in the species by Jones & Coile (1988) and Thorne (1954)
