Galium obtusum Bigelow var. filifolium (Wiegand) Fernald. Common name: Carolina Bedstraw. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Marshes, swamps, creekbanks, alluvial forests. Distribution: S. NJ south to c. GA, primarily on the Coastal Plain.
