Ipomoea hederifolia Linnaeus. Common name: Scarlet Creeper. Phenology: Jul-Mar. Habitat: Moist thickets (especially near-coastal), disturbed areas. Distribution: GA and AL, south to s. FL, west to MS; West Indies; Mexico, Central America, and South America. Some of the more inland occurrences likely represent an adventive range extension from horticultural use.
