Veronica peregrina Linnaeus var. xalapensis (Kunth) Pennell. Western Purslane Speedwell. Phen: (Feb-) Apr-May. Hab: Fields, lawns, disturbed places; in the eastern part of our area probably introduced on ballast. Dist: QC and AK south to MA, KY, TX, and south to Guatemala.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
