Pycnanthemum beadlei (Small) Fernald. Common name: Beadle's Mountain-mint. Phenology: Aug-Sep. Habitat: Forests, woodland borders. Distribution: A Southern and Central Appalachian endemic: WV, sw. VA and ne. TN south to sw. NC, nw. SC, and n. GA.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Other Comments: A tetraploid species (n = 38), probably an allotetraploid derived from P. montanum × muticum.

Synonymy : = C, K4, Tn, Va, W, Chambers & Hamer (1992), Grant & Epling (1943); = Koellia beadlei Small — S; < Pycnanthemum incanum (L.) Michx. — RAB. Basionym: Koellia beadlei Small 1898
