Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: A tetraploid species (n = 38).

Synonymy : = F, K1, K3, K4; = Pycnanthemum puberulum E.Grant & Epling – WV, Grant & Epling (1943); < Koellia incana (L.) Kuntze – S; < Pycnanthemum incanum (L.) Michx. – C, G, Pa, RAB, Tn, W, Chambers & Hamer (1992)
