Myzorrhiza ludoviciana (Nuttall) Rydberg. Prairie Broomrape. Phen: Apr-Aug. Hab: Deep sands, pastures, upland areas, and glades, parasitic on perennial composites such as Grindelia, Artemisia, and Heterotheca. Dist: SK and BC south to MO, w. TX, AZ, and Mexico.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Other Comments: Reports of this species further east are apparently based on the more recently named "Orobanche riparia" = Myzorrhiza species 1.
