Verbena halei Small. Common name: Texas Vervain. Phenology: (Feb-) Apr-Jun (-Nov). Habitat: Dry hammocks, prairies, open woodlands, roadsides, pastures. Distribution: C. GA south to c. peninsular FL, TX, AZ, and Mexico; scattered as an introduction farther north, as in NC and SC.
