Calyptocarpus vialis Lessing. Straggler-daisy, Lawnflower, Horse-herb, Hierba del Caballo. Phen: Jan-Dec. Hab: Disturbed areas, roadsides, lawns, flower-beds. Dist: Native of s. TX and Mexico. Nesom (2011d) discussed the native distribution of C. vialis and concluded that it was originally native to s. TX and Mexico.
