*Hesperocyparis arizonica (Greene) Bartel. Common name: Arizona Cypress. Habitat: Fencerows, weakly naturalizing from horticultural plantings. Distribution: Native of sw. United States (AZ, NM, w. TX, sw. UT, s, NV) and n. and c. Mexico (AGU, BCN, CHH, COA, COL, DUR, HID, JAL, MEX, MIC, NAY, NLE, SLP, SIN, SON, TAM, VER, ZAC).

Origin/Endemic status: Sw. North America

Synonymy : = POWO, Adams, Bartel, & Price (2009); = Callitropsis arizonica (Greene) D.P.Little; = Cupressus arizonica Greene — K4, Mex, Tx; = n/a — RAB, S; < Cupressus arizonica Greene — FNA2; < Cupressus arizonica ssp. arizonica — NS. Basionym: Cupressus arizonica Greene 1882
