Helianthus simulans E. Watson. Common name: Muck Sunflower. Phenology: Oct-Nov. Habitat: Wet soils, ditches, roadsides. Distribution: Native from SC south to c. peninsular FL, FL Panhandle, and west to LA and e. TX; now spread more widely by horticultural use.
