*Ludwigia grandiflora (Michaux) Greuter & Burdet. Section: Jussiaea. Common name: Showy Water-primrose. Phenology: May-Sep. Habitat: Ponds, lakes, sluggish waters of ditches or streams. Distribution: Se. SC south to FL, west to TX; disjunct in MO, Guatemala, and in s. South America.

Origin/Endemic status: South America

Taxonomy Comments: This taxon is hexaploid (n= 24). See Zardini, Gu, and Raven (1991) and Nesom & Kartesz (2000) for additional information.
