Liatris elegans (Walter) Michaux var. elegans . Common Elegant Blazing-star. Phen: Aug-Oct. Hab: Longleaf pine sandhills, flatwoods, cutover pine sites, open oak-pine woodlands, sandy fields, roadsides, ditches, other open disturbed habitats. Dist: SC south to c. peninsular FL, west to TX and OK.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
