Pityopsis tracyi (Small) Small. Common name: Tracy’s Goldenaster. Phenology: Oct-Dec. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, scrubby flatwoods, and mesic to wet-mesic pine savannas on poorly drained Spodosols. Distribution: Endemic to peninsular Fl and se. GA; reports of it in n. AL were probably based on aberrant individuals of P. graminifolia.

Taxonomy Comments: See Bridges & Orzell (2018b) for detailed discussion. This taxon can be diploid (2n=18), tetraploid (2n=36), or hexaploid (2n=54).
