Hasteola suaveolens (Linnaeus) Pojarkova. Sweet Indian-plantain. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Sandy bottomlands, low rich forests, and riverbanks. Dist: MA, NY, n. OH, n. IN, c. WI and se. MN, south to n. VA, sw. VA, sw. NC, wc. TN (Chester, Wofford, & Kral 1997), and se. MO; apparently rare through much of its range.
