not marked as a favorite taxon Silphium wasiotense M. Medley. Common name: Appalachian Rosinweed. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Dry and dry-mesic forests over dolomite or calcareous shale. Distribution: E. KY and ne. TN (Risk & Wyrick 1996, Chester, Wofford, & Kral 1997).
