not marked as a favorite taxon Isoetes valida (Engelmann) Clute. Common name: Mountain Quillwort, Carolina Quillwort. Habitat: Bogs (growing in Sphagnum), pools, ponds, and seeps. Distribution: C. PA to s. AL. Reports from MS are false, based on I. mississippiensis.
