Apios Fabricius. Common name: Groundnut.
A genus of about 5 species, perennial vines, of temperate e. Asia and e. North America. Our two species are sister to one another, and otherwise most closely related to A. delavayi Franchon (Himalayan) and A. fortunei Maximowicz (of Japan, China, and Taiwan) (Li et al. 2014).
