Solidago radula Nuttall. Common name: Rough Goldenrod. Phenology: Aug-Oct. Habitat: Calcareous prairies, dry woodlands, bluffs, glades, and barrens over mafic or calcareous rocks. Distribution: Illinois west to Kansas, south to Louisiana and Texas; disjunct eastward in Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Reports from Alabama are misidentifications (E. Ungberg, pers.comm., 2025).
