Solidago virgata Michaux. Common name: Wand Goldenrod. Phenology: Late Aug-Oct. Habitat: Longleaf pine savannas, Coastal Plain bogs, pocosins, marshes. Distribution: NC south to s. FL, west to e. LA; West Indies and s. Mexico (CHP, VER).
Origin/Endemic status: Native
Taxonomy Comments: Apparently diploid, tetraploid, and hexaploid (2n=18,36,54) as currently interpreted.
