Solidago virgata Michaux. Subgenus: Pleiactila. Section: Maritimae. Wand Goldenrod. Phen: Late Aug-Oct. Hab: Longleaf pine savannas, Coastal Plain bogs, pocosins, marshes. Dist: NC south to s. FL, west to e. LA; West Indies and s. Mexico (CHP, VER).

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Apparently diploid, tetraploid, and hexaploid (2n=18,36,54) as currently interpreted.

Synonymy : = K3, K4, Semple (2013), Semple et al (2016a), Semple et al (2016b); = Solidago petiolata Mill. – S, misapplied; = Solidago stricta Aiton – F, Fl7, K1, SE1, WH3, misapplied; = Solidago stricta Aiton ssp. stricta – FNA20, misapplied; < Solidago stricta Aiton – C, G, GW2, Mex, RAB, misapplied
