not marked as a favorite taxon *Colchicum Linnaeus. Common name: Meadow Saffron.

A genus of about 100 species, of s. Europe, n. Africa, and w. and c. Asia, here circumscribed to include Androcymbium, following Vinnersten & Manning (2007).
