Solidago shortii Torrey & A. Gray. Subgenus: Pleiactila. Section: Unilaterales. Subsection: Triplinervae. Series: Canadenses. Common name: Kentucky Goldenrod, Short's Goldenrod. Phenology: Aug-Oct. Habitat: Rocky slopes. Distribution: Endemic to nc. KY (Fleming, Jefferson, Nicholas, Robertson counties) and s. IN (Harrison County).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: See Smith et al. (2004) and Homoya & Abrell (2005) for additional, detailed information. The species is tetraploid, 2n=36.
