Symphyotrichum lanceolatum (Willdenow) Nesom var. lanceolatum. Common name: Tall White Aster, Common Panicled Aster. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Moist soils. Distribution: NL (Newfoundland) west to SK, south to PA (Rhoads & Klein 1993), VA (reported in FNA), NC, SC (?), TN, MS, LA, and TX. Reported for Ashe County, NC (Poindexter & Murrell 2008).
