Flowers: Flowers on glandular-hairy stalks at tips of branches (nodding in bud), and at the base of each pair of inflorescence branches is a pair of leafy bracts. Flowers white, 1/4 in. wide, consisting of 5 ascending-spreading petals that are notched at the tip; 5 slightly shorter, green sepals; 5-10 stamens and an ovary with 5 styles.
